PROTECT WHAT MATTERS MOST SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

MEREDITH SMITH

My official title here at the Law Offices of DuPont & Blumenstiel is Community Outreach Coordinator, however, my job entails much more than that. I started out as a receptionist in 2018 and have since become our go-to client contact person.

The main part of my job is making outbound calls to prospects and clients to make sure everything is going alright in their lives and see if they need anything from us. I also am a part of the marketing team and assist in estate planning meetings.

My customer service background allows me to empathize with clients and make sure all their needs are met, even the needs they don’t realize yet. It’s very rewarding for me to be able to help people plan for the future and ensure that their families are taken care of. My motivation for work daily is just being able to speak to others and help others, even if it’s not law related.

We aren’t the standard law firm of suit-and-tie all the time. We like to be more relatable to our clients.

Outside of the law firm, I’m very much a farm girl. I was able to purchase my dream horse boarding facility recently and find it to be a very relaxing business. I’m excited to work with the horses more, and help people learn more about them.

When it comes to estate planning, my recommendation is to just get it done, no matter how old you are. You never know what could happen 5, 10, or 20 years down the road. You can always come back to your estate plan and make changes as events happen throughout your life.
