PROTECT WHAT MATTERS MOST SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

EMILY LEITER

I'm a paralegal here at DuPont & Blumenstiel, but I actually started working here as an intern during the summer of 2021. Once I received my paralegal certification from Columbus State Community College, I was fortunate enough to be offered a full-time position here! Before pursuing a career as a paralegal, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in psychology. My previous experience as a case manager in consumer collections at another law firm prepared me for the paralegal duties I do today.

My husband inspired me to go back to school and become a paralegal. He retired from the marine corps in 2015 and then decided to go back to school. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2020 and shortly after got a civil engineering job which he really enjoys. Going back to school later in life wasn't easy, but has been very rewarding for the both of us.

My typical workday consists of completely paperwork for both the estate planning and litigation sides of the firm. Depending on what needs done, I could be working on a probate case or helping prepare documents for an estate plan.

The three words I would use to describe The Law Offices of DuPont & Blumenstiel would be knowledgeable, caring, and helpful.

What motivates me to get up and come to work everyday is knowing that I have more of a career than just a job. Working here has been a great fit for me and has allowed me to vastly expand my skill set.

My favorite part of my job is the variety of work I get to do in both the probate litigation and the estate planning sides of things. It's never a boring work day here! I always have different paperwork to do and different problems to solve.

To anyone that is starting to think about their future, and the future of their family, I encourage them to start the estate planning process and speak to a knowledgeable attorney. An initial consultation with an attorney to get more information and more of a plan can offer a lot of peace of mind and be very beneficial.
